I have written an article, and got it published in an article directory ... now what? First rule is don't publish in just one directory. Publish in as many directories as you can. Wait, They might remove my article! Good, if they do not provide the links, they are essentially stealing the content from you, and without the links, it serves no benefit for you. Step Six: If after a day or two, the article is still posted, contact the article directory and let them know. EzineArticles for one, will be happy to contact the site too. Let them know that you have sent the administrator of the site an email, and what the results of that email are. Check back a week later to see if the site is still publishing you article, and if they are, check to see if they corrected the issue.

If after this stage they are still not in compliance, then contact the directory again and let them know. They will advise you on what other actions you may want to take, and what other actions they will take. As to wether or not you will be able to take legal actions will depend on many factors.
