Job Interview - Remain Relevant and Enthusiastic
Interviewing well is an art and yet I find so many people pay very little attention to this aspect of the job search process. It is in fact likely the single most important step.If you are called for an interview, the assumption must be that it is your job to lose. If you have been called, you have many of the skills needed for the job and your qualifications are enough of a match that if the fit i

She asked her fellow nurses to help her build a database of doctors, nationwide, that people could rely on. It became, “thenurseschoice.com” and she put it on the Internet. Then she added a complete resource of health information. So now, one can find doctors referred by nurses and what’s that worth? What is your health worth? Was she an innovator in the tradition of Jefferson? Will she help shape the course of the next generation by providing better quality healthcare? Look at her site and you be the judge. Then go ou
Marketing Research: Focus Group - Know It!
What is focus group?Focus group is basically a group interview that comprises targeted respondents (usually 8 to 10 participants) and a moderator. The purpose of focus group is to gather/obtain opinions and insights on issues of interest to the researcher. The moderator is responsible for leading the discussion in a non-structured and natural manner.Know-It! in dealing with focus g
Thomas Paine wrote, “Common Sense” and Thomas Jefferson authored “The Declaration of Independence.” Both were writings that targeted and sent a clear message to King George III at a time when the British ruled the world, by land and by sea. But high taxation and a lack of representation caused a problem for the common man in eighteen century colonial America. It also angered those very same patriots and so they felt they had sufficient cause to release themselves from the yoke of their oppressors. By 1789, after a long and grueling conflict, the rest, as they say, was history.

So what type of person flies in the face of conventional wisdom, possibly risking life and limb, and declares themselves a rebel? These two “Toms” were supported by many other of similar mindset, but had the audacity to actually write down their thoughts and post them to be seen by the enemy, as it were. It took courage and foresight. They were ground-breaking men that were probably asked to rethink their positions many times along the way. After all, what intelligent person goes up against the might of the British Empire with a handful of rag-tag farmers? Yet, if it weren’t for them, today you would have a British accent and be munching on tea and crumpets. But did they really know that they were revolutionists and about to alter the entire world forever? Or were they just doing the right thing for their fellow men and themselves?

What does it take to make a difference? A new invention, an archeological find, or a wondrous discovery? A break-through in physics or finding a new planet? Or can it be something rather small and mundane? What is your modern-day fight against? Bird-flu, hunger, terrorism, or global warming? How do you stop that from your little piece of the globe?

It begins with an idea. You look at what’s around you and think how it could be made better. It could be a new device or theory, but it’s far more likely to be a business plan. That’s not to say you couldn’t write a book, compose a song, or paint a masterpiece. But what would be earth-changing about artwork? A new business might alter our planet. Look at Microsoft, Apple, or Wal-Mart. Think of the genetics companies and pharmaceutical firms making vaccines and remedies for cancers and diseases. They make us life longer and better. So, with that in mind, what’s your idea? As a revolutionist, you need something that will give hope for the future. Stuck for a concept? Let me share just one example.

Where can you turn to for a quality, competent doctor, that wasn’t recommended by a hospital or other doctor with obvious bias? You would ask a nurse, of course. So that’s what one nurse did. She asked her fellow nurses to help her build a database of doctors, nationwide, that people could rely on. It became, “thenurseschoice.com” and she put it on the Internet. How To Choose The Proper Business Entity?
Choosing your business structure is just as important - if not more important - than marketing. You should consult with your accountant or your attorney in forming your business. The process in setting up your company is as follows; these are just the key points that need to be done, but not necessarily in the exact order listed.First, you need to come up with a company name and ascertain if the UR
