How To Maintain Accurate Time On Your PC
PC's have internal real time clocks designed to maintain system time. The internal clocks rely on relatively low-cost crystal oscillators, which are notoriously inaccurate. In many cases PC system time can drift by several minutes each day. This article describes various methods of maintaining a highly accurate time on your PC. It describes how to utilise Internet time references, radio and GPS clocks and dedicated NTP server systems.Internet Time ReferencesThe Internet utilises the Network Time Protocol to distribute accurate time information to network time clients. NTP has been an important part of the Internet for over 25 years. The protocol was born through the need to provide synchronisation of time critical processes across the Internet. Most modern operating systems, including Windows XP, 2003 and LINUX have the ability to synchronise time with a NTP Server. There are a host of Internet based NTP Servers with public access that can be used to synchronise your PC. Below is a list of popular Internet based public access NTP Server references:time.nist.gov - US based time reference ptbtime1.ptb.de - German time reference ntp.my-inbox.co.uk - UK time reference canon.inria.fr - French time reference clock.isc.org - Canadian time referenceWindows XP has pre-installed SNTP client software that can synchronise time with a NTP server. This is achieved by simply entering the domain name of an Internet NTP Server in the time properties tab. The host

    Scanning Made Easy?
When you scan an image, does it look more like a duplicate made by a photocopier? Does enlarging your image give you headache because you always get a sort of colored boxes, instead?A scanner is just like a photocopier. The only difference is that, a copier creates a copy to a paper while a scanner transmits the scanned object into the computer, thus, creating a digital image of any printed material. The transferring of image to the paper is done by a printer. One purpose of scanning is to allow you to edit images. You must have, of course, a printed material of what you want to scan. The scanner will create a copy of it on the computer. You can now edit it and print it afterwards. You must always remember that the quality of the duplicate will never be as good as the original. If you want to make a copy closer to original, the solution is on the correct adjustments of the scanner.Scanning images, whether color or black and white, are always associated with the word resolution or dpi. For you to achieve the image quality you desire, you should know and understand how these affect your image.Resolution refers to the number of pixels contained in the monitor. Pixel, from the words “picture element”, is the basic unit of programmable color in a computer image. For a better view of what I am telling you, try to enlarge a photo. You will notice the squares that make up the image. These squares are the pixels. The resolution is measured by the number of dots per inch (dpi), whi
Psalms 19:14: Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.

Let me ask you a simple question, do you look at things the way God does? It is important for us to realize that we are to look at ourselves, our lives and even our problems as God does, and not any other way. In other words, we are to see ourselves as God sees us, victorious, not defeated. God sees us as healed not sick. God sees us serving Him, not the enemy. It is time for us to stop thinking and speaking negative defeated things over our lives, but speaking God's Word over ourselves!

Christianity is called the great confession.

Hebrews 3:1. Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

Romans 10:8-10: But what does it say? "The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart'' (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.

We confessed with our mouth what we believed in our heart and we were saved. We believe that Jesus Christ is the High Priest of that confession.

The Bible teaches us two very important facts about confessions. The first is words are important. The old saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me”, is not really true. We were taught this saying as a child to help us get through those cruel times children have, to grow up without getting our feelings hurt. But you see, words do hurt, they do affect us physically, mentally and spiritually.

The second thing the Bible teaches is that we are snared by the words of our mouth.

Proverbs 6:2: you are snared by the words of your own mouth; you are taken by the words of your mouth.

A snare is a trap. If we are not careful, our words will trap us into spiritual death, sickness and poverty, the curse of the law. Praise God, Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law.

Galatians 3:13: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''),

Jesus Christ became the curse for us, when he was crucified. He became sin, sickness and he died spiritually, so that we didn’t have to. Praise God!

So it is so important for us to continue in this great confession of Christianity and that is to live and walk in what Christ purchased for us on Calvary. Believe me, it is not pain and suffering, it is not rebellious children or unpaid bills. It is not having enough money to pay bills, or by school supplies for your children. Christ suffered and died for us, so that the blessing of Abraham became ours.

Galatians 3:14-15: that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though it is only a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it.

Christ died to redeem us from the curse of the law and to give us the blessing of Abraham. If you study the Old Testament in Genesis, you will see that Abraham, even though he messed up at times, was still blessed by God. Why, because he believed the promise God made to him and it was counted to him as righteousness.

Romans 4:3: For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.''

We are to believe the promise God made to us in His Word! God's Word is filled with promises for us today, to meet every need, but we cannot walk in them if we don’t know them, we can’t get them into our hearts if we don’t know them and we cannot say them with our mouth if we don’t know them.

Romans 12:2: And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We are not to live, act or think like the world thinks. We are to live, act and think like God thinks. How do we do that, we fill our hearts and minds with the Word of God. We meditate on it daily, and then we speak it with our mouth over our situation, until the Word’s reality overcomes the world’s reality. Amen!

    Psalms 106:35: But they mingled with the Gentiles And learned their works;

The word, gentiles, here refer to the world, the worldly way of doing and looking at things, not the Godly way of doing things. You see, we have been so blinded by the enemy into seeing and thinking defeated ungodly thoughts that it is hard for us to move into thinking Godly thoughts and acting on it. Part of the problem is, many times the world’s way is a rational orderly way, and God’s way doesn’t always make common sense.

    Laser Metal Cutting
Laser cutting is a modern technology in which a high-powered laser is directed at the desired surface to cut different shapes and forms. The material usually burns or melts, leaving a high-quality surface finish. Since there is no direct contact between the laser and the surface in use, the level of precision and accuracy in the laser cutting process is much more as compared to conventional methods.Due to its accuracy and efficiency, laser cutting is used to cut a wide variety of materials. Metal is one such common application. Since ancient times, metals have been widely used for a number of purposes. From weapons and ornaments to construction and packing material, the importance of metals in our day-to-day lives cannot be denied. Today, with the development of fiber optics and information technology, metals have gained a highly specific role. Since conventional processing methods cannot suffice all these modern requirements, laser cutting is being extensively used in metal processing.Apart from the normal CO2 laser used in most processes, metal cutting employs the use of three other processes, namely Oxygen cutting, Nitrogen cutting and Sublimation cutting. The oxygen process creates more heat on account of the reaction between the metal and the gas. The extra heat assists in the cutting process. On the other hand, when an inert gas like nitrogen is used for cutting the metal, additional power is required.Since metals are good conductors and reflectors of heat, the intensity of the

    Dish Network and HDTV
With satellite TV technology advancing so quickly, it’s always difficult to decide when to buy something, or wait for a year or two until that thing becomes cheaper. HDTV services such as that offered by Dish Network is yet another of those things which isn’t going to go away. In fact the time has come for satellite TV viewers to do something about it, if figures demonstrating the take-up of Dish Network HD packages is anything to go by.In The BeginningMany of us remember the days when we struggled to get a decent picture on our old televisions. Over the years, the old analog TV got better but it reached a point where the technology couldn’t do any more. It was time to do things differently; this is where digital TV came in. With digital TV, it was possible to receive pictures off air with similar quality to that obtained from a DVD.The Digital Era and HDTVWith the advent of digital TV, the satellite TV market continued to expand and Dish Network was just one of those to take advantage. But things didn’t stop there – HDTV was on the horizon. High Definition TV can increase screen resolution many times over standard definition digital TV. This means that there are more pixels available for displaying the pictures. As those with digital cameras know, the more pixels there are, the better the quality of the picture. The HDTV DilemmaSo here we are today with the possibility of getting HDTV. Do we go for standard definition TV and upgrade later, or do we go for HDTV fr

Notes for Newbies - Part Twenty - Duplication and Fulfilment
Hello againToday we want to talk about duplication and fulfilment. These are two terms that are sometimes confused. They are two different resources you need for your business. Although they are different, they are linked.Duplication and fulfilmentIf you ship any hard products: CDs, DVDs, audio tapes (yes, audio tapes can still be profitable products), printed books, training manuals and the like, you need to have these copied or produced in quantity to fulfil your orders. This is duplication. The actual process of putting these in envelopes or jiffy bags and shipping to your customers we call fulfilment.Even if you don’t ship hard products, you will sometimes use duplication and fulfilment to prepare and post sales letters, details of seminar dates and locations, and other offers of interest to your customers.(There are a few big players in the business who do everything through the Internet and never post or deliver anything through the post. If this is your business model, you may ignore the rest of this article.)DuplicationWhen you are new in the business, you will probably do all your duplication yourself. These days it doesn’t cost very much to copy DVDs, DVD covers and sales letters. Most PCs and laptops come equipped with units to copy DVDs. Colour printers are available at reasonable prices.Keep this in mind: Everything you send out must look thoroughly professional. Not long ago I received an u

Proverbs 3:5-8: 5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6.in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

    7. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones.

Below are confessions you can make daily over your life. They are from the book, God’s Creative Power, the gift collection, by Charles Capps, Harrison House publishers. Remember you will grow in faith when you hear the Word of God spoken aloud in your life.

Romans 10:17: 17. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Speak God's Word over your life, in your voice, aloud so you can hear it. It will be planted in your heart and grow and develop strong faith. So that, you will be thinking right and then speaking right! Scriptural based confession:

“I am of God and have overcome him (satan). For greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4.) “No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord. But whatever I do will prosper for I’m like a tree that’s planted by the rivers of water.”

    (Isaiah 54:17; Psalms 1:3.)

“I am a doer of the Word of God and am blessed in my deeds. I am happy in those things which I do because I am a doer of the Word of God.” (James 1:22.)

“The Word of God is forever settled in heaven. Therefore, I establish His word upon this earth.” (Psalms 119:89.)

“For poverty He has given me wealth: for sickness He has given me health; for death He has given me eternal life”. (2 Corinthians 8:9: Isaiah 53:5-6: John 10:10; John 5:24.)

“God has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant and Abraham’s blessings are mine.” (Psalms 35:27; Galatians 3:14.)

“I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him and He directs my path.” (Proverbs 3:5-6.)

“I will do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13.)

“I let the peace of God rule in my heart and I refuse to worry about anything.”

    (Colossians 3:15.)

“Jesus bore my sickness and carried my pain. Therefore I give no place to sickness or pain. For God sent His Word and healed me.” (Psalms 107:20.)

“Heavenly Father, I attend to your Word. I incline my ears to Your sayings. I will not let them depart from my eyes. I keep them in the midst of my heart, for they are life and healing to all my flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22.)

“My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I make a demand on my body to release the right chemicals. My body is in perfect chemical balance. My pancreas secretes the proper amount of insulin for life and health.” (1 Corinthians 6:19.)

“Your Word in manifest in my body, causing growths to disappear. Arthritis is a thing of the past. I make a demand on my bones and joints to function properly in Jesus name.” (Mark 11:23; Matthew 17:20.)

My blood pressure is within normal limits. The life of God flows in my blood and cleanses my arteries of all matter that does not pertain to life. (Mark 11:23.)

My heartbeat is normal. My heart beats with the rhythm of life, carrying the life of God throughout my body, restoring life and health abundantly. (John 17:23; Ephesians 2:22.) “I am redeemed from the curse of the law and my heart beats with the rhythm of life. The spirit and life of God's Word flows in me cleansing my blood of every disease and impurity. (Galatians 3:13; Proverbs 4:20-23.)

Father, I resist the enemy in every form that he comes against me, I require my body to be strong and healthy, and I enforce it with your word. I reject the curse, and I enforce life in this body. (James 4:7.)

“I will not die but live and declare the works of God.” (Psalms 118:17.)

“God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. God is the source of my supply, and I have more that enough to pay my bills on time. Bills be paid in full, in Jesus name.” (Philippians 4:19.)

“Heavenly Father, I call for a raise as I honor You with the firstfruits of my increase. I give thanks for this job and bless my employer. I now declare that this check is multiplied and increased. I am now richly rewarded for my work, both creatively and financially. (Proverbs 3:9-10.)

“I now dissolve and put aside all negative, limiting beliefs about where I will work and what kind of job is available to me. I open myself to all of God’s possibilities. I call for a perfect, satisfying, well paying job to manifest in my life. I am always in the right place at the right time for the Spirit of God directs my steps.” (Proverbs 16:9; Romans 5:17.)
