Many years ago as I was in the process of redoing my website for the umpteenth time, I was hit with the inspiration to insert something about my spiritual beliefs in the website. This was at a time when I was just beginning my journey into spirituality and was very, very careful who I mentioned my woo-woo beliefs to. I teetered with the decision of whether or not to do this daring action, and finally chose to add a section called “Spiritual Stuff”, which consisted of a few of my channeled writings.

As soon as the re-do of my website was online, I emailed one of my best friends, who has been a psychic by trade for over 20 years, asking her to take a look at it and let me know her thoughts about it. She emailed me back almost instantly, saying that I couldn’t do something like that, put my spiritual beliefs on my website, because it would freak people out.

Freak people out? I was stunned. This was not the reaction I expected from a woman who made her living from her spirituality.

As I pondered the situation, I thought about how Christians have no qualms about putting little fish symbols or crosses on their websites… and everywhere else for that matter. “How unfair that they can display their religious beliefs without fear of freaking people out, and yet spiritual beliefs are deemed socially unacceptable, ” I thought. Emboldened by the small amount of anger that this unfairness stirred up in me, I not only kept Spiritual Stuff on my website, I emailed everyone I knew and asked them to take a look at my new website.

The Cosmic Closet is your fear that holds you back from sharing with others your spiritual beliefs.

This fear may be rooted in past lifetimes, when you suffered for your beliefs, and perhaps were even tortured or killed because of them. It may be rooted in this lifetime, resulting from the programming you received from your parents, teachers, family, friends, the media, and many other outside sources. Whatever the reason or cause, the result is that you’re now fearful and hesitant about sharing your core belief with others… until, that is, you know for certain that they’re of like mind and it’s safe for you to speak your truth.

The truth is that if you don’t come out of your Cosmic Closet, you’re missing out on opportunities to share your Light with others who may need it.

You have a purpose this lifetime to be of service to others. It may be that you’re a healer, using Reiki or another form of vibrational healing as your vehicle for being of service to others. Perhaps you’re a psychic with the ability to give people guidance from a source of higher wisdom to help them through their life challenges. If you don’t speak freely and openly of your ability, how many people are not going to ever know about it? How many of those people might you have been able to help?
