What is holding you back from receiving what you ask for in prayer? Jesus tells us that “whatever” you ask for in prayer, it will be yours so, what is it that’s holding you back from receiving?
Is it believing that we are worthy of receiving what we ask for in prayer? You are covered by the grace and mercy of God. If you’re anything like me, you absolutely were not a person that was worthy of being a child of God. You and I received our salvation because of God’s mercy. Believe that you have received it. Did you notice that Jesus has spoken in the past tense? When we approach God in prayer we go before Him in confidence and belief that it is already done.
When you get clear about what it is that you want, it’s easier to believe that it’s possible for you. Why is it that we believe it’s possible for someone else but not for us? It’s not about you and your power. It’s about the awesome power of God and you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Get clear about what you want. Visualize it; speak it as it has already happened. Find pictures to put in your journal, write out a statement and do these things every single day.
