The Standard Model – the Big-Bang hypothesis - is 100% compatible to the Biblical narrative in the opening chapters of Genesis. Time dilation and time stretching make it possible for the 6-day creation period of Genesis to be the same as the eighteen billion year creation period of the Standard Model. In “Explore the Book”, J. Sidlow Baxter says that our final remarks about the six days of creation, should be to point out the process and the progress and the purpose which they exhibit. From the very first we find the earth swathed about by the Spirit of God, and at each stage of the reconstruction we read that 'God said' – thus we have the WILL of God, expressed by the WORD of God, and executed by the SPIRIT of God. This process expresses itself in an orderly six-fold progress which culminated in man. Man as the microcosm within the macrocosm.

Biblical commentators such as Onkelos (c.e. 150), Rashi (c.e. 1040-1105), Maimonides (c.e. 1135-1204) and Nahmanides (c.e. 1194-1270) unravelled the origin of the universe and the origin of breath a few thousand years ago by analyzing the roots of the Hebrew words in the Pentateuch . They came to the same conclusions as Science does in modern times. Namahnides, known for his “Commentary on Genesis” and Maimonides, known for his “Guide for the perplexed” were both of the opinion that all material things that were to exist eventually, were derived from what was created in the first instant of Creation. Schroeder says: “From that ethereal mass of pure energy and exquisitely thin substance, stones and galaxies and humans were to be formed. We are products of the Big Bang. We are, in fact, made of stardust”. Today we conceptualize that the material aspects of man are totally rooted in the universe. “The medieval theologian who gazed at the night sky through the eyes of Aristotle and saw angels moving the spheres in harmony has become the modern cosmologist who gazes at the same sky through the eyes of Einstein and sees the hand of God, not in angels, but in the constants of nature... When confronted with the order and beauty of the universe and the strange coincidences of nature, it is very tempting to take the leap of faith from science into religion. I am sure many physicists want to. I only wish they would admit it” says theoretical physicist Tony Rothman.

Religion and Physics are unconditionally the alter ego of each other, and there should not be any measure of alienation or antagonism between these fields. When God said “Let there be light”, the Big Bang happened. An illustrious aboriginal explosion that sired elementary elements which in turn fused into heavier elements within billions of stars, congregated in their billions of galaxies over billions of years. An explosion that constructed the eventual elements such as oxygen, carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus, necessary for the sustenance of life on one distinct and bantam planet in one of uncountable galaxies. All this was vital for the accommodation of life and finally man, as the anointed zenith of all creation.
