did as Christ told them. As a result they hauled in more fish than they could imagine. (Jn. 21). The same is true for us today. When Christ tells us to do something, we need to obey Him and not try to reason our way out of it. If we can stay focused on Him and not get sidetracked by the things of this world, we will never have to regret what we've done. It's important to see that not one of these men argued with Him. In their humbleness they were richly blessed. Humbleness is still a virtue today that God blesses.

I learned yet again a valuable lesson from this. That saying kept coming to mind, "If it seems too good to be true...it usually is." Afterwards as I looked through the books I had just purchased with my life savings, I realized that I hadn't a clue of what was written in them except that it was still going to take money to make money. It all boils down to this, the rich get richer...that is the way of the world. I do know that God promises to give me the things that I need if I seek Him first in all that I do. Money can't buy this kind of peace and security.

I recently attended a seminar for information that I could very easily have gotten for free, but this was a trap that made it sound that if you bought into it, you would be certain to make large amounts of money in no time. But here's the kicker, the package was normally one price but if anyone acted on it that night, it would be a few hundred dollars less and then it would be a two for one at that. This of course was the only time to act on this. And the speakers in these seminars make sure to use the term "friends" in order to make you feel like you're special to them. Oh please! They profess to know your dilema and tell you how much they want you to be financially free. All you have to do is give them a large amount of money on you're on your way to success! It's just that easy. Then this "one time" offer and the hype gets more intense. They know that many will be swept into this and so the offer starts to sound more appealing as a deadline nears. "But if you don't act on this now 'friends' you'll have to pay the full price later." Don't wait, you can't afford to wait! Now is the time, don't let it pass you by! Woe! Hold up, what's the rush?

I was thinking about this 'hype' and it brought to mind that this is probably where hypnosis comes from. Hypnosis is after all mind control. Hype also comes in words such as hyperactive, and then hypertension. Hyperactivity sets in first and hypertension which comes after you've done something you know you shouldn't have. Uneasiness settles in your soul and you start questioning yourself as to what did you just do? Am I hitting home with anyone here?

I have to admit that I was swept into the hype, even after praying about it. The problem with that is, I didn't bother to wait on an answer. I went ahead and did what I thought was a good deal. After all was said and done I realized I was in deep and had spent all my savings to find this out. My husband was the one who brought me to my senses the next day and said I had to cancel this right away. I agreed. No problem!

For a few minutes after I purchased this package even I had thoughts of becoming independently wealthy. My flesh stepped in which is easily done. But my spirit was not settled in peace. This is not of God and He made me see this.

"Now the mind of the flesh (which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit) is death (death that compromises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter). But the mind of the (Holy) Spirit is life and (soul) peace (both now and forever.)" Rom. 8:6 (Amplified)

But since I am no longer of this world, this fleshy, carnal action did not agree with my spirit. God soon started speaking to me about the trap I had almost gotten myself into. I started to understand that God sent us Christ in the first place to protect us from ourselves. He overcame sin and deprived it of it's power over all when we accept Him.(Rom. 8:3). So I can be sure that the Holy Spirit was screaming at this point.

"So that the righteous and just requirement of the Law might be fully met in us who live and move not in the ways of the flesh but in the ways of the Spirit (our lives governed not by the standards and according to the dictates of the flesh, but controlled by the Holy Spirit.)" Rom. 8:4 (Amplified)

After all was said and done, I imagined these people who called us 'friend' were really wolves dressed in sheep's clothing. They try so hard to gain our trust and then down comes the ax upon our unsuspecting heads. Sheep are dumb, that's why we have a Shepherd and we hear His voice! Thank You Jesus.

"Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter." Rom. 8:36 (see also Ps. 44:22)

I believe that people in the world are successful because they also follow the layout in the Bible. God's Word will work for anyone who uses it, it's just that not all of them are saved by it. So, to be quite frank, those of us who follow Christ are often times victims of children in the world because they know the game plan. The thing that sets us apart is that one day we will have our treasures stored up in heaven and these people with all their worldly wealth will have to answer to their Maker before He casts them into the Lake of Fire. And their wealth isn't going with them!

This 'hype' seminar reminded me of the time when Christ told the apostles to cast their nets on the right side of the boat. Even though these men were valid fishermen and knew their business, they still did as Christ told them. As a result they hauled in more fish than they could imagine. (Jn. 21). The same is true for us today. When Christ tells us to do something, we need to obey Him and not try to reason our way out of it. Learn Your Spouse's Secret Language of Love
With everyone from Dr. Phil to Oprah telling you that the act of communicating is essential to a good marriage, you already know how important communication is to holding your marriage together. But it may come as a surprise that by communicating you can do more than just keep your marriage together, you can strengthen it and deepen it in ways you never imagined. And the trick is to learn what your partner’s language of love really is. Once a marriage passes the honeymoon phase, so to speak, this language is not as likely to be as lovey-dovey and, well, sweet as it was in the beginning. After all, once you’re married, day-to-day life does take over.Instead of planning a future, you’re living it. Instea

I Believe My Alcoholism Began At Birth
Coming outI was raised in Christchurch, but went to an all boys’ boarding school in Masterton for 5 years. During my time there, I always knew I was gay. I actually joined the mailing list for the then ‘Pink Triangle’ newspaper, which arrived monthly in a brown unmarked envelope. It was thrilling for me to see images and read articles about us or me or how I was feeling! Thank goodness for those early pioneers in gay media.I came out to my parents when I was 19. I invited them around to my flat after work, sat them down, and told them. They were very upset, but I think although they said it was a shock, I believe they were more shocked I told them. My Mother cried a lot and my father disowned me for about 10 days, but after

Free Affiliate Programs Can Make you Rich
The way it works is that a company has products that they need to sell. These companies offer others a certain percentage of each sale that they refer. The person creating the referral does not pay anything to join and does not have to deal with packaging and shipping the item. When it comes down to it both the retailer and the affiliate benefit from these free programs. So now that you know what a free affiliate program is, you need to know how to implement it in order to start making money. The first thing you need to do is to find the best affiliate program you can find that is selling what you want to promote. This can be done by going to almost any website on your topic and looking for a link that says affiliates or partners. W
