    Already Tired of the Holidays?
It seems to me when I was young, that the holiday season didn't start until after Thanksgiving. Not after the 4th of July. By September I am so sick of hearing about what people are doing for the holidays, that I just don't care anymore. There doesn't seem to be any Christmas spirit anymore. Oh sure, you see the occasional Nativity Scene, but even then it is only on church properties. What is wrong with a symbol of the holiday being on public property? We recently had an incident here in Detroit, where someone complained abou

    Designing Your Postcard Appropriately
Postcards generally have limited space available for both the copy and the lay-out. It may seem very easy to design a postcard because of the small space that you need to fill up. But this is not always the case.Because the size of the postcard restricts you to put all the graphics and details that you want to include, it may be difficult (for some) to find the appropriate image and the correct words to maximize the small space available for you.Postcards typically have to be very concise, clear and direct in what it
    Hello again

Today we want to talk about Thank You pages and related stuff. These are the things you need to do to deliver product after your customers have paid their money.

Thank You pages and related stuff

So, your customers have paid their money. They are returned to your website – to your Thank You page, and you have been informed by your card processor that they have paid their money. Now you need to deliver product to them. How do you do this?

It depends on the product. In the last article we talked about several types of product:

    • A Members’ Only section of your website
    • A paid subscription newsletter
    • Downloadable products such as software or ebooks
    • Hard product that you ship to your customers

A Members’ Only section of your website is easy to deal with (we shall talk about Members’ Only websites in detail in Article Thirty. They are perfect information products). You can set them up in two ways:

You can password protect Members’ Only pages. When your customers have paid their money and are returned to your Thank You page, you give them a password (you can set up password protection on your server).

Or you can give Members’ Only pages weird filenames such as c3BXiiQ.html. Customers then link to these pages from your Thank You page. Nobody who hasn’t paid will be able to find them by guessing and this avoids setting up passwords. You can also change page names from time-to-time to protect them from dropouts and ne’er-do-wells.

    Accelerate Sales Through Product Marketing
Many companies shortchange themselves when it comes to marketing their products by not developing a proper product marketing function within their companies. Product marketing is a critical element of a functional organization that positions and promotes products, pushes them into the market place, and pushes them into the channels that you’re trying to develop. Without proper product marketing many companies actually expend needless sales resources and support resources to try to makeup for the shortcomings of not having this fu

    Promotional Products
As a promotions director for a lot of super markets, one of my key responsibilities was finding promotional products for the events we make. I worked with distributors to order, design and customize these items to promote the super markets image to the general public. When it comes to finding Promotional Products for your business, you want to find items that feature your company name prominently. If you're promoting a "toys event", you don't want to give people watches, or mugs.Promotional Products Made SimpleP

    Unique Customer Perception (UCP)
Marketing is a domain which is dynamic i.e. involves change, an important phenomenon not to be overlooked. We have come across a term “Unique Selling Proposition”(USP) which companies feel as a constant factor . Every organisation is an open system of management which means change is inevitable and is associated with environmental factors. Companies need to focus not only on USP of their products but also on the “Unique Customer Perception”(UCP) of the final end users. The prop of marketing is based on the need identificat

Create A Business Card That Sells and is Effective
Why does your business need a business card?Business card is a powerful piece of card handed out to your clients or given to you by someone which has all that information in such a small space. Business cards are an important part of any business and that gives a first impression of your business to anyone. So customize the card in such a way to make a good impression about it to others.Create a business card that conveys a sense that you are by your name, name of the business, description of your business and other c

Paid subscription newsletters can be managed in two ways:

The easiest is to set them up as you would a Members’ Only section of your website.

Or you can send them out by email. This requires an autoresponder (we shall talk about these in Article Twenty-Two). With email, newsletters are delivered to your customers regularly – they don’t have to log onto your website and go to the protected area. The downside of emails is the danger of SPAM (we shall talk about SPAM in detail in Article Thirty-One).

Many of the really big players in this business do very, very well with paid newsletter subscriptions. What does your guru do?

Downloadable products such as software and ebooks can be delivered this way, too. When customers are returned to your Thank You page, they are directed to a download page where they can click a button to download their product. Here, again, it’s useful to give the download page a weird name such as DS34TvQ7.html to protect it.

Files to be downloaded, whether software or an ebook, must be uploaded to your server and stored in the appropriate directory, just like your web pages. Protocols vary somewhat from host to host, but your host should provide the support you need. Again, these files are copied from your PC to your server.

Finally, you may sell hard products. You will set up your Thank You page to thank your customers and tell them their products are winging their way to them. Your
