    Supply Chain Management
A supply chain, logistics network, or supply network is a coordinated system of organizations, people, activities, information and resources involved in moving a product or service in physical or virtual manner from supplier to customer. Its management deals with the process of planning, implementing, and controlling its operations with the purpose of satisfying customer requirements as efficiently as possible.Supply chain management spans all movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption. It integrates supply and demand management within and across companies. If a supply chain

    How To Make Marketing Simple
Quite a few clients have told me that marketing is difficult for them. It is difficult to get started with marketing; it is difficult to figure out how to market, and it is difficult to understand how to market effectively. Even if you are already using marketing techniques to promote your business, there is no guarantee that your marketing efforts will bring the results you are looking for.I have put together a simple plan for you to take charge of your marketing and to simplify at least some of the process. Here are five marketing steps:- Define What Needs To Be Done. What are you marketing? Is it a product or a service? What are the results you are looking
This is the time of year when our thoughts turn to ringing out the old and ringing in the new. It’s the time for wiping the slate clean and starting over; a time for new beginnings; a time for making New Year’s resolutions that, while spoken with the best of intentions, are usually forgotten by the time the black eyed peas are gone.

It’s the time that we look back at the carnage left in our wake over the past year and vow to do things a little different, maybe even a little smarter, in the year to come... yeah, right.

In our repentant little minds we believe that we can wreak havoc in our lives 364 days of the year and then on the dawn of the New Year come up with a bunch of resolutions that wash us clean of our sins so we can start fresh for the coming year. It’s like being a human "Etch-A-Sketch;" just turn yourself upside down and shake vigorously to wipe the slate clean.

Situational Leadership as the Key to Effectively Managing People
For over 25 years, major corporations and organizations throughout the world have used the concepts of Situational Leadership to improve the effectiveness of their managers. Dr. Heresy and Dr. Blanshard at Ohio State University to provide managers with a practical and simple approach to achieve the best results from their people developed one of the most outstanding leadership models. There are many ways you can be an effective leader – there is no single “school solution” to the management process.Real leadership means managing people fairly for mutually rewarding and productive purposes and has nothing to do with manipulation – taking unfair advantage of or i

Why A Patent Is Not Enough
In today's world information is often the most valuable commodity we have. In the past a person's wealth could be measured by the amount of resources they had at their disposal. While resources are still very important, intellectual property, or IP has become vital to creating a successful business. IP includes such things as copyrights, patents and trademarks. Think about all of the products and services you use or interact with on a regular basis and you'll realize how valuable IP is. Do you think the Coca-Cola name or the Nike Swoosh are worth some money? You bet they are, they're each worth hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars. Companies like Coca-Co

How To Choose The Right Product To Begin Internet Home Business
Every company needs a product to sell. It is also the same with internet home business. You need a product to start up a home based business and start to work from home. I categorized three different type of product.1. Digital Product. It is very easy to build and very popular among the Internet. We don’t have to keep product stock. We only have to create or pay someone else to create our product. Some product that we can describe in computer related product are e-book, software, picture, movie, song, audio, and web related product (web hosting, script, domain name, etc).2. Hard product. Hard product means that we can touch and see. In hard product we involve

    Managing Creative People
There are a number of issues to consider when Managing Creative People:Common Characteristics / The Creative TypeDo creative people have common characteristics that we can identify, so that we can hire the right people? Some firms do not engage in creative activities because of a belief that "special" people are needed. Many theorists and practitioners think that there are common characteristics, such as tolerance to ambiguity and risk taking. However, many others argue that there are none ("For sixteen years I have been trying to find some common denominator which seems to apply to all creative people. There aren't any. If I could find five or six char

While I’m a firm believer in goals, I’m not a big believer in New Year’s resolutions; mainly because it has been my experience that most resolutions are repeated year after year and forgotten by the time we sober up on January 2nd. Resolutions sound great rattling around in our heads, but when it comes time for the rubber to meet the road, most of us backslide off into the ditch.

As entrepreneurs, our resolutions often lean toward the business side of life. We vow to make more sales calls, to be nicer to our employees, to keep better records, to spend more time considering the bottomline - they are all resolutions you should be thinking about for the coming year.

One of your resolutions should be to network more; to mix and mingle with other entrepreneurs who are in the same boat you are; to find mentors who are ahead of you in the game and can help pull you up to their level.

One of my resolutions/goals for 2007 is to start a mastermind group. Starting a mastermind group doesn’t mean that I am assembling a team o
