SWOT Analysis: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
There's a marketing concept called a SWOT Analysis. Sounds pretty daunting doesn't it?Well, don't worry it's not. It's actually very simple. And it's something that can make or break your business. What is SWOT?It stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. What do you do with it?You use it to size-up your current situation with your business so you can create a plan to be successful.Ask yourself the following questions BEFORE you start marketing:(1) What are your Strengths? What do you do well? What characteristics do you have that will help you be successful in business? What relevant experience do you have?Size up all the strengths you bring to your business.(2) What ar

When searching the classified ads for something I could do that didn’t require a college degree, I kept seeing ads for work at home businesses. They usually had claimed I could be making $300-500/wk stuffing envelopes or assembling a product. I quickly learned they were scams and no money

Online Resume Not Generating any Calls?
Want to get your online resum? noticed and have employers picking up the phone and calling you? Then forget how pretty your resum? is. What really matters is how your resum? scores on a search. Most resum?s today go straight to a computer tracking system that saves online resum?s in the company database allowing for later searches. A computer will "score" your resum? by the number of keywords or "buzzwords" that the employer will find most relevant to their needs. If you don't account for this, you'll just sit waiting by the phone for the call that never comes. Keywords, Keywords, and More KeywordsThe magic is in the keywords and how and where you can use them. Focus on the keywords most likely to be used by a human resources person or recruiter doing the resum? search for a part
I have been searching for years to find a profitable, easy to start internet business. I had absolutely no experience and only functional knowledge of how the internet worked. All I knew was that I wanted to start a business, make some money to pay a bill or two and be home when my son was home from school.

When I first began this journey to the elusive internet riches, I was living at home with my parents. I had a three year old son who deserved better and no one to help me get ahead. I already felt completely guilty for leaving my son with my mother all day while I worked full time as a cashier. I only made $7/hr and knew I deserved more. But I hadn’t finished college. I should have been in college right then, but you know how things build up and distract you from your goals. (Having a child, dealing with baby daddy drama, my grandfather, my favorite uncle and then my baby brother passing away within six months of each other were my distractions.)

Without a college degree, I couldn’t land the jobs I already knew how to do. Just because I didn’t finish college, didn’t mean I was stupid and a failure. I had just lost my path and couldn’t find a way to get back on track. I was always pulled into different directions and kept feeling like I was not being a good mother. My son spent more time with my mother than he did with me. My mother was fortunate enough to be willing and able to stay home with me and my siblings. I felt like I should have been able to do the same, but that wasn’t my reality.

The reality was that I was a young single mother who had to take care of her responsibility. And considering the fact that I was no longer with my son’s father, (he wasn’t good for me anyway) I wasn’t going to be able to be a stay at home mom.

How Do You Know It's Time To Fire A Client?
As a business owner, you're no longer sitting in your too-small cubicle waiting to be called to HR for yet another downsizing in yet another company. No more being told when you can take lunch, make a personal call or, heavens forbid, go to the bathroom.Owning your own business comes with lots of perks. One of them that is frequently overlooked however is that you now have the ability to fire a client.Stop and think about that for a moment. As a business owner, you don’t need to take on every client that comes along and can *fire a client* if you want or need to. Isn't that liberating?"I need all the clients I can get. Why would I ever want to fire one?" you ask.In order to make your business as profitable as possible, you need to ensure that your client relationsh

    Criminal Background Search
Criminal background checks can be broadly divided into two types: criminal record checks and civil record checks. In a criminal record check, one can search through criminal court records, while in a civil check, one can search through criminal and civil court records.A criminal record check can further be of two types: instant criminal searches and on-premise county courthouse searches. Nationwide and statewide criminal searches search for: case numbers and charges, offenses, arrests, disposition dates, and convictions. The on-premise county courthouse searches cover that information for specific counties. Not all states allow the public to access criminal records information. Few states allow the records to be accessed online; most states require a formal written application. Man

    Negotiating a New Job's Salary
Often when receiving a job offer, candidates are eager to sign on the dotted line. Maybe they've been with out work for awhile, maybe it is an increase in pay, or maybe it is simply a better commute. It is important to remember though, that the most important time in salary negotiations are those early meetings. Be prepared and act confident, it can mean a huge difference in your future lifestyle. Here is some advice to help you land not just the gig, but the salary that you dream of :)Give a RangeThe general rule of thumb in negotiations is that the first person to name a number loses. Unfortunately, most people know this and it can quickly lead to nonproductive encounters. If you

Innovation Management - Eliciting Dominant Ideas
Creativity can be defined as problem identification and idea generation whilst innovation can be defined as idea selection, development and commercialisation. There are other useful definitions in this field, for example, creativity can be defined as consisting of a number of ideas, a number of diverse ideas and a number of novel ideas. There are distinct processes that enhance problem identification and idea generation and, similarly, distinct processes that enhance idea selection, development and commercialisation. Whilst there is no sure fire route to commercial success, these processes improve the probability that good ideas will be generated and selected and that investment in developing and commercialising those ideas will not be wasted. eliciting Dominant Ideas was no longer with my son’s father, (he wasn’t good for me anyway) I wasn’t going to be able to be a stay at home mom.

When searching the classified ads for something I could do that didn’t require a college degree, I kept seeing ads for work at home businesses. They usually had claimed I could be making $300-500/wk stuffing envelopes or assembling a product. I quickly learned they were scams and no money would be made unless I invested a lot of money, which I didn’t have to spare. I put the work at home business on hold for a while. I would always look at the ads, but never acted on any that required I spend money.

The next time I began truly searching for an internet business, I was married and out of work. We were struggling very hard to pay the bills on time and I knew I had the time to put into getting a business off the ground. Once again, I was limited to what I could do, because everything needed money to start and I didn’t have any to spare once again. I found a few free options, but nothing panned out to making any money at all. My focus had to be on a reliable source of income. Since the internet wasn’t providing a source, I had to look elsewhere again.

This last attempt at looking for an internet business has lasted for two years, almost to the day. My husband is doing well in his job and making enough money that I didn’t have to rush back to work after I had my second son. That left me plenty of time to research more and actually have a little money to spend on the programs I kept seeing advertised.

    You know the ones…
    “Make money while you sleep!”
“Make money while only working a few hours a week!”
“The insider’s secret, the millionaires don’t want you to know!”
“Make money without spending a dime!” (Except on they program that tells you how)

I didn't know I would find the answer while searching for someone to give me a completely free website to do with as I saw fit. I wasn’t even thinking about starting a business that day, I just wanted to get my own website set up so I
