Textile Printing in India - Traditional Approach
India is a country of diversities. It is rich in various embroidery techniques and printing techniques. Indian tradition is even rich in paintings and we can see that from the paintings of Ajanta murals and miniature paintings. In ancient times, the art of weaving and dyeing on cotton had been well developed, but it developed on silk later. In the fifth century, floral and geometric designs were popular in India and we can find that from the trade between India and Egypt. India is the first one who introduced the art of dyeing and printing with fast natural colors for the first time. For foreign travelers, indigo dyeing was a mysterious process because when the fabric is dipped in indigo bath, there is no color observed. Only when the fabric gets exposure to open air, the colors develop. The purpose of printing is for the adornment of the textile. Correct co-ordination between human skills and printing machinery is required. Many kind of printing techniques are there, among which screen printing is important one.Earlier, screen printing was known as silk printing. In that, silk gauge was being used as a screen for printing, so it was known as the silk printing. The design was engraved on the silk gauge and then the color was spread on that. The main benefit of screen printing is that it is cost-effective and large-scale production is possible with it. Screen printing is more advantageous than dye sublimation and inkjet printing. It is normally used for banners and flags. The pioneer of screen printing is Guy Mc Roy.View Full ArticleCopyright © 2007

    An Introduction To Labels
A label is a tag attached with an adhesive, used for the purpose of identifying an object or its contents. Labels can come in several forms and can be distinguished by the kind of stock (base material) that they are printed upon, or by the adhesive that they use. The most common type of label is prepared with a paper stock and is colloquially called a sticker. Labels have several uses, from name tags to the identification of products. The stock types include litho, which is a common base stock; latex, which is litho with added latex that allows it to be more flexible and convenient to use around curved objects; foil, which has the properties of a metal foil; and thermal, which has the ability to change color (generally black) upon heating. Also, there are various plastics including vinyl, acetate, and Mylar that allow for an array of features, like higher strength, transparency, flexibility, etc.The adhesive types are either permanent, which cannot be removed without ripping the stocks or through the use of solvents; removable, which can be removed without tearing the base stock; semi-permanent, which takes a good 48-72 hours to properly stick, and can be removed and used again if placed incorrectly; and freezer permanent, which remains permanent even in freezing conditions.Other types of labels include piggyback labels that are prepared by combining two layers of adhesive substrate. This is generally used in Express mail envelopes. Blockout labels are opaque, and cover interiors with an adhesive. Holographic stickers are used for protection against counterfeiting, as well as authentication. They are often used for credit cards, ID cards, CD/DVDs, etc. Radioactive labels are used for chemical elements, and facilitate the tracking of chemical compounds.Brand stickers are attached to products for identification as coming from a particular company. They are distributed as part of advertising, promotional, and political campaigns. Bumper stickers are used to promote political and religious views and ideas.

    Preprinted Bar Code Labels
Bar code labels that are manufactured by companies and are retailed to other establishments are called preprinted bar code labels. Preprinted bar code labels are bought and used by establishments that do not have infrastructure to make their own.Preprinted bar code labels are encoded using computers and sequentially numbered by the companies that manufacture them. These labels are designed on special vinyl stickers with adhesives that make them durable for a longer time. They can be designed in both line and dot formats.Sellers of preprinted bar code labels use three main techniques to manufacture labels – film master/printing plate, ion deposition and photocomposition. The first method is like normal printing techniques, where a template of the bar code is prepared and then printed in bulk amounts. Ion deposition technique uses electrolytic deposition of particles on a moving insulating drum to give the impression of the bar code. Photocomposition uses computers to design original bar codes. Out of all the techniques used to manufacture bar code labels, photocomposition is the best and is preferred if the bar code is needed to be exceedingly sharp and easy to scan. In fact, preprinted bar code label manufacturers only use photocomposition.Establishments who do not have the equipment or expertise to make their own bar code labels buy preprinted bar code labels. Making bar code labels requires money and a technically skilled staff. Hence, companies may evaluate their cost constraints and purchase preprinted bar code labels instead of investing in their own equipment. Buying preprinted bar code labels also makes more sense for companies that are running their businesses temporarily or for promotion. One more reason for choosing preprinted bar code labels is the rapid dynamism of this technology. Bar codes are fast evolving as makers are trying to pack in more and more information in less amount of space. Already several bar code equipments used in the markets are outdated.

Art to Part in Plastics: Molding Dreams into Reality
An introduction to Injection Molding.Every plastic product you see needs to be shaped, and the most common method is Injection Molding. Most people using their computer to read this give no thought to how all those plastic parts were formed. Or how complex and expensive it is even to produce a ballpoint pen. Just about every part made of plastic these days is formed using some kind of an injection mold, from tiny precision parts that can barely be seen to large automotive exterior parts. Just about every industry relies on some kind of injection mold for their products.Injection molding is the forcing of molten plastic into a shaping cavity. An injection molding machine has three basic components:1) Injection. Plastic pellets are fed into a hopper and then heated up. Once they are melted they are injected under extremely high pressure into a mold.2) Mold. This is a custom designed tool for shaping and cooling the melted plastic. Two halves are precisely designed with cavities for the shaping of the part, channels for cooling the molten plastic, and an ejection system.3) Clamping. This is the part of the machine that holds the removable mold in place, keeps the two halves together during molding, and opens the mold for part ejection.Molds are complex and must be of heavy-duty construction since they are subjected to a considerable amount of pressure. They are usually carved/milled out of aluminum or steel blocks and contain many different parts such as the mold base, clamp plates, support plates, ejector plates and pins, guide pins, sprue puller pins, and of course, the two cavities with channels for the molted plastic flow, cooling and/or secondary heating units. The mold is the most expensive part of injection molding, with molds ranging from a few thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Think about that next time you use that cheap plastic pen.Injection molding started to catch on in the 1920’s and was used for simple products such as combs, toothbrushes, and simple industrial parts. As the science of plastics and machining technology grew, molding became an increasingly popular way of manufacturing. With todays computer-controlled milling and molding machines, just about any idea or design can be shaped into plastic.<

It Is Important To Know Who You Are About To Do Business With - Before It's Too Late!
Checking the Better Business Bureau is good, but checking the person himself is better.Would you be willing to take an extra moment to check the background of your future employee? Who knows, you might discover some criminal past - people aren't always what they seem to be externally.Every serious business owner or employer uses background check services everyday, do you?If you don't then just think of all the news that we constantly hear about how a new nanny was torturing a little kid, or the caregiver who was hitting the old lady... Yes, this is very common especially when you hire somebody to work at your very own home - even the plumber, the lawn person, the roofer, the salesperson who wants you to buy something perhaps illegal and waits for your answer, or maybe even your personal trainer is a criminal and wants to kill you?You can check criminal records, the sex offender’s list, nanny screen look ups, DUIs (Driving under the influence), check whether the person was married and discover that he was even though he said he wasn't, and much more.We all want to believe and think the best about people. but people aren't always what they say they are and if they once committed a criminal act in the past, then they are most likely to do it again no matter how much jail time they done or how much they say/think they changed. Checking criminal records could save you, your family, and your future. If you think that setting a spy video camera in your office, spying on the new employee will save you, then know that for a much smaller cost you could simply check his/her background and know for sure before hand.So why risking what is most dear to you, who you most care for, and your life? So please, take a moment and think about it.By the way, you can also check what people can find out about yourself. And you definitely shouldn't forget to check the background of that girl you are about to marry.
a number of advantages and disadvantages. We’ll try to enumerate some of them for you.

As much as anything else, for many people, starting a business is a form of ego-gratification, and they form a corporation for some sort of prestige gain - just to say, “I own a corporation.” With just a little bit of observation, you’ll find that one of the major causes of business failures is due to the founder wasting start-up capital on frills, such as an impressive store-front office, expensive furnishings, and corporate legal costs. One of the basic traits you must develop if you’re going to be successful in business is a tight hold on your expenditures.

In fact, a good rule of thumb is that any thing that does not make money for you or protects your investment should not be purchased at this time. Very definitely, this applies to the expense of setting up your own corporation.

Unless you have a partnership and start your business as such, the only real advantage to forming a corporation would appear to be that a corporate structure will semi-protect the property you personally own.

As an example, you own a home and car. You form a corporation to protect these possessions from business losses. Yet, if you can be found guilty of misusing corporate funds, your business creditors can pierce the
