    However, I was still interested in creating my own products. So I wrote one. I wrote a book about list building, and included in it the things that I have learned, that I had to search high and low to find, and then I wrote a sales page.

    Keep in mind, I had never written a sales page before. Yes, I had studied writing sales pages. But I also understood that it is very difficult to write a compelling sales page.

    I sent that sales page out my list, and it converted at around 7%. That blew me away. I realized right away that there was a lot more value in creating my own products and promoting them to my own list and there wasn't sending traffic to affiliate pages. You see, the people on my list developed a bond with me, even though I was sending them to affiliate pages. Affiliate pages, the sales pages, are much better optimized for making money and making sales than mine are, but people only purchased at the rate of 1%. Now, my own sales pages converted around 4% to 7%, on a regular basis.

Once you are started, once you have built list, start writing your own books. It is not as hard as it seems. Learn to write a sales page. It is not as hard as it seems.
