    The Underestimated Office Photocopier
Many businesses in the UK do not have the right level and standard of office equipment. This problem often becomes more obvious when a company suddenly grows or reduces in size, perhaps through a merger with another company or through cut backs and redundancies.Apart from the actual computers and desks, a busy office often suffers when the wrong type of photocopier has been installed. Many companies rely heavily on this often overlooked piece of

Making the Menu Drive Sales and Speed
As we all wrestle with getting our employees to recommend and suggest items to customers, perhaps you should consider a different approach. Design the menu to sell for you and, in the process, speed up service times, especially if you have a drive-thru. After I went through another lengthy service experience due to indecisive customers ahead of me in line, it was apparent that until I can place my order online or at a self-service kiosk, something
We are down to the home stretch. You've got your Ezine laid out, you have gotten some good content for it and now you want to put the whole thing together in a nice neat little package with a pretty bow so that your readers will have an experience that they can honestly say was worth the zero cents they paid to subscribe. So just what does shaping up the content for your Ezine involve and how do you go about doing it?

Most of what you are going to have to do involves fitting pieces together and modifying things so that they look just right. You will be spending a lot of time doing this with the various articles that you get, either from the freelance writers you hired or the sites you downloaded the content from. Why?

Ever hear the phrase "Beggars can't be choosers?" Well, when you're downloading free content off of websites, you're not going to have a lot of control over the format of this content. It may be in simple Ariel 10 pt. font or heaven knows what. If you have an Ezine where you are going for a certain look, this can be a bit of a problem. For example, let's say you're putting together an Ezine on "Chinese Food" and you want to have an oriental look to the Ezine itself. It is doubtful the articles you download are going to be in fonts that support this look. You're going to have to reformat them with your own fonts. You may even have to download fonts from the Internet if you're going for a certain look that isn't part of the default font set in your word processing program.

Private Labeled Bottled Water and School Fund Raising - A Pure Water Source of Revenue
Like most organizations, schools in the United States are subject to constant budget stress. Important athletic and scholastic programs are subject to budget cuts as demographics change and taxpayers become increasingly budget aware. As a result, schools include fund raising resources in their planning for programs.Education should rank high on the list of tax payer funding. With exception of defense, it is hard to imagine a governmental effort t

    Do You Hear That?
I read a report in the Toronto Star stated that 70% of workplace errors happen because of communication breakdown and that many of them directly relate to a lack of listening skills. The challenge is most people filter out sounds, noises and people talking as much as they filter out most of the things their eyes see.On one level, this is important. You would go crazy if you processed everything that you heard and you would never be able to

Publicists: It's Time to Embrace the Technology of Online Press Kits
So you have a cell phone, a Palm Pilot, an automated office complete with teleconferencing, remote-access, Web site and e-mail addresses. So what? Just because you’re always available to the media doesn’t mean the media has easy access to your clients. What will your high-tech office be able to do when a reporter wants a press kit at 7 p.m. on a Friday evening? Nothing – except hastily prepare the hard copy kit for a costly overnight shipment. The

A Retailer's Guide to Credit Card Fraud Prevention
Identity theft is one of the hottest topics around. But who are the real victims here? Of course consumers are affected the most. While consumers are usually not liable for fraudulent charges, it can take years to come back from identity theft and it's no small task. Consumer victims may get hit with higher interest rates or even be denied credit. Credit card companies would have you believe they are the biggest victims. To a certain extent, that'

Another part of the formatting, aside from the font itself, is how the article is laid out. When you download it or have it sent to you, it may not be 90 characters per line, or whatever line spacing you are looking for. For that matter, it may not be formatted at all. You may need to get a hold of a text formatter, which you can get for free just about anywhere on the Internet. This will reformat your text to however many characters per line you want. This is critical for sending out emails as some email programs will just display your paragraphs as one long string, making it very hard for your subscribers to read. If they can't read your Ezine easily they will most likely unsubscribe. You certainly won't make the sales you're counting on.

Another thing you're going to have to do, especially if you're putting together an Ezine with photos or graphics, is format the graphics around the word content so that it flows. You don't want your layout to be willy-nilly. If you need ideas for how an Ezine with photos should look, go take a peak at a few. Again, there is nothing wrong with getting inspiration from others. If you have doubts in your own ability, get a graphic artist to do it for you or at least look at your work.
