    Preparation in Sales
The adage ‘If you fail to prepare, then you should prepare to fail' rings true in sales and in all other professions. Many sales professionals expect to surpass sales quotas become top producers and achieve success without adequate preparation. This lack of preparation results in frustration and discouragement. How passionate are you about selling? You might be tempted to ask what passion has to do with preparation. If you are not passionate about selling then preparation becomes drudgery since you will only be going through the motions. You may be selling with the intent to pay your monthly expenses and meet financial goals. These goals provide motivation but not passion.

    Are Your References Ready?
One of the most common forms of background check performed by companies hiring new employees is the reference check. They typically request that candidates provide them with three names of previous bosses. If you don't have three former bosses, then provide co-workers, teachers, college professors and/or professional colleagues as character references. The first thing you should do is develop your list of potential references and then contact each one. Is Your Survey Worth My Time?
A manufacturer complains that his customers rarely return the satisfaction surveys he sends out.A leading resort gets back just 30% of the comment cards left for guests inside their fancy rooms. One government agency had a response rate of only 6% when they sent out an 11-page survey. What’s going on here? Why is the response rate so low? Why don’t customers complete and return customer satisfaction surveys? The problem, as I see it, is twofold:First, the format of many satisfaction surveys has taken on the language of academics and the structure of statisticians. Asking customers to rate the relative importance and performance, both perceived and ex

Small Touches That Will Make Your Cleaning Company Stand Out
Your cleaning company can have a big impact on its clients by paying attention to small details that other cleaning services miss. Following are few simple guidelines to make your customers feel like they are getting special treatment. People think of their desks as an extension of themselves. Your employees should leave a desk as they found it, minus the dirt. The general rule is to clean a desktop if it is clear. Leave desks that are covered with papers and projects alone. When cleaning a desk, pick up objects with one hand (phones, pictures, etc.) and dust with the other hand. Put everything back exactly where it was originally. Making a habit of putting

When I'm Looking For An Opportunity - I Look For These Qualities
The first thing I want to know is how the comp plan works. I always preferred direct sales over any other structures out there because you get compensated for your own efforts. You know your own ability and can therefore always rely on yourself! The second thing I look for is if the product can stand on it's own. You want a product that has mass appeal. People either want it or need it, because the only way you make an INC0ME is from people purchasing this product from you.The third thing I look for is how long the company has been in business. You want a company that has been around longer than a year. Statistics show most opportunities that are unstable fold within t

Medical Billing - DME Software Security
In this installment of medical billing and DME software, we're going to cover the topic of security, which can actually apply to any type of medical billing software since security is such a big issue these days. The whole topic of security pretty much stems from the HIPAA privacy rules. These rules cover just about everything, including health plans, health care providers, health care clearinghouses and billing agencies. If you're associated with the medical profession in any manner shape or form, you are probably under the HIPAA privacy rule umbrella. The main information that is protected by the HIPAA privacy rule is the patient's past, present, or future medical c
