How to optimize your directory submission
This is where 90% of submitters make errors. You should take great care over your submission as both the visitor and search engine will read your link and the accompanying text. The directory submission pages vary very little from one site to another and normally consist of three main elements;
- Title
- url
- Description
Title
The majority of people simply include their site title in this field. Wrong! This is an opportunity to include valuable keywords. Try to include a keyword in the title, for example instead of simply submitting "Madrid Guide Spain" one would use "Madrid Guide Spain - A capital visit" or "... - Romantic Spanish break." The search engine spiders will pick up on these additional words and read them as being highly related to your site.

Write a good description of 200-300 characters. Users arriving to a directory normally search the directory and the words in the description will determine if your link comes up as a result.
