Advertise Locally Using Search Engines and credit record. While search engine advertising has been a great advertising medium for businesses capable of or interested in marketing their products and services to a national or international audience, the effectiveness of this type of advertising was limited for businesses interested in advertising to a local market until very recently. For example, a realtor with a web site in Minneapolis is likely interested in advertising on search terms such as “homes for sale” and “sell my home.” The only problem was the realtor would have to advertise to everyone in the country who happened to type those terms into search engines. This was wasteful and ineffective because the vast majority of visitors clicking through to the site would not be qualified visitors since they lived outside the realtor’s regional market. At that time, the only work around to this was to include a regional qualifying term next to each search phrase, so instead of advertising on the term “homes for sale” the realtor would have to advertise on “Minneapolis homes for sale.”What about the prospective clients who live in Minneapolis, but only type in “homes for sale?” They’re likely just as qualified for the realtor, but it there wasn’t a way to target this type of searcher. The gap between forcing advertisers to use regional qualifying terms or advertising to a national market was finally closed this spring by Google.Local TargetingTargeting a known geographic location of searchers became a reality earlier this spring when Google launched their local targeting program. So now the realtor in Minneapolis can advertise on the more general terms, then specifying a geographic area they’d like the ads to appear within. The options for this in Personal Identity Theft: Key Facts * Victims now spend an average of 600 hours recovering from the crime of identity theft, often over a period of years. Three yea Are You Worried That Your Internet Marketing Business Will Not Work And Fail? Identity theft is the fastest growing crime according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). It occurs when someone takes a piece of your personal information and uses it without your knowledge to commit fraud or theft. An all-too-common example is when an identity thief uses your personal information to open a credit card account in your name, or uses an existing credit card of yours.I’ve got a great quote for you, probably made by a gambler: “Do your worrying before you place your bet, NOT after the wheel starts turning.”I thought that this was a great quote. Especially for you and I as netrepreneurs! We are the brave ones that decide to venture off to the horizon in search for a lifestyle that is uncommon and do not depend on anyone else (bosses) to sign our paychecks! Unfortunately, most people who do “start” haven’t really committed themselves to it!When you decide to start on a project do you go through with it regardless of obstacles, or do you break down in frustration and quit? The problem is, most people who “decide” to building their internet business does all the worrying after they’ve decided - and that causes a great deal of stress in their lives and doubt in their choices. This clouds their minds of the bad things that will happen with their decision, makes them unsure of themselves and they will usually waste their time in useless activity that doesn’t contribute to their internet business. For me I fear failure, but I’m getting MUCH better strengthening my faith! In the past, when I wanted to commit myself to an internet business, I was afraid of failing. Actually I was afraid of my friends and family’s criticism IF I failed. So I gave my weak unfocused attempts to make it work. I tried to work my business ONLY after I had my TV time and fun time. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way.I was just giving myself an excuse, an easy escape, that if I failed I was not an incompetent person - so that nobody will criticize me. If I failed, it was because I didn’t put much effort into my internet business and it wasn’t totally my fault. And I can tell that lame ex Did you know that someone's identity is stolen every 20 seconds? You must define who will come to your event and who will purchase your products. Your target market will make it easier to determine a theme, which is also very important, and help when deciding on speakers, location, etc… Who is your audience? What interest and/or problems do they have? You want to bring products and speakers that will help your audience. If you don’t, you will not have a successful event. And you will also have people very upset with you! Some areas to think about when determining your target audience follow: 1. Industry/Niche What industry are they in? What niche do they fill? How can I help them fulfill this niche and grow their business bigger and better? This determines a lot! This tells you what type of speakers you need (ie: real estate, internet marketers, counselors, women, men, etc…) 2. What does your market expect? What kind of service and/or follow-up do they expect? How high are their expectations concerning the quality of product they would buy? Do they expect customer service? (I would hope so ?) You want loyal customers, who return. Therefore, you need to provide what your market expects. Don’t bring in a real estate speaker to an internet marketing conference. Or vice versa. 3.
