The Skinny On Teenage Body Image and Spiritual Health

Many young women and teenagers are placing great value on looking like the latest Cover Girl model, and placing little or no value on spiritual health. I agree, it is important to be feel good about the way we look, but I think the culture is going a bit too far. It is far more important for young girls to feel good about who they are on the inside, wouldn’t you agree?

Divine Thinking and Personal Reality, Part 2

Transmute youself into a divine being! It all begins within.

Illumination - The Light Of Your Spirit

Long ago, when your life was new, there was a light that shone brilliantly and freely within you. You carried this creative, loving, joyful spirit with you into this world. This light and power within you was your energetic life force.

The Dark One

Make no mistake about it. He is here, and has been. Anyone that does not believe me, take a good look around at what is happening on this planet. Our avarice, egotistical desire to control and holier than thou attitudes have welcomed him onto our world.

Team Conflict Strategies for Ministers

Pastors rely on teams of volunteers to get many things done at Church and through outreach programs. Each team member has brought a skill to the table, but few have an understanding of working on a team. These team members are here because they care about the outcome, but since they are bringing different personalities and values, they sometimes can clash and cause conflict. So how does a Pastor confront team conflict

Creating a Balanced Pastor’s Life

A Pastor has around-the-clock duties that pull you in a lot of directions. You feel like a yo-yo. Your life is out of balance with demands from your congregation, church duties, and family. There are ways to create and maintain a balanced life as a Pastor.

Practical Spirituality—The Third Force

In our previous two articles on the Four Forces we talked about interactions on the horizontal plain, or axis. We talked about centripetal force pulling one inward, into the inner world. We also talked about centrifugal force pulling one outward to the external world and social interactions. When one was successfully alternating between each of these forces one would be moving on the horizontal axis in a figure eight. One would loop from the inside to the outside several times passing through the center, the place of balance. Healthy need would draw one outside of oneself. Healthy fear would draw one back inside the self. One would move back and forth on this horizontal plane, the physical plane of existence, until one experienced another feeling knows as guilt.

Effective Problem Solving for Pastors

A minister’s day is filled with problems, and they are usually other people’s problems. Your main duty during the day seems to be problem solver. How can you do this and remove yourself from being the answer person. The following are steps to help you be a facilitator of solutions and not be “the problem solver”.

Faith Can Be Seen - Your Life Does Not Go Un-Noticed!

Faith brings God glory, it testifies, it reveals His grace to those who behold the endurance of others that have entered into Christ's sufferings. In reality, man has two choices. He can enter in to temptations or he can enter into faith which brings Christ's sufferings. Both are a willful act.

What Faith Is And How It Is To Be Used - Great Rewards Are To Come

By faith we stand against evil both inwardly and outwardly. We stand inwardly against personal sin. We stand outwardly in opposition against the evil of this world. However, we must stand in all meekness and gentleness of Christ and not with a condemning attitude.

The Messenger

The Higher Powers are very concerned with what is happening in this world. Anyone who doubts these messages come from the Higher Powers, just has to read them. All speak of love, and trust and responsibility for actions.

Healing and Deliverance, Setting the Captives Free!

Healing and deliverance is a blessing of God that rightly belongs to every child of God (Psalm 103:1-3). God heals His children because of His covenant. The Creator heals the sinner because of His mercy. Christ Jesus casts out devils by the power of His Holy Spirit because He hates the lying, stealing, thief and murderer (Matthew 8:16; 12:28; Acts 10:38).

Observer and the Observed(er)

What is the role of observer in that of the observed? What happens to the observed when there is no observer? It may not be what you think!

How Can God Help Me When I'm Really Down?

How can God help me when I'm really down? Read how some children responded and what the Bible teaches us about how God's love restores us when we experience trials and affliction. Children's answers are fun, sometimes quirky and often insightful. Because this article features children's answers, it's perfect for reading with or to children while teaching them a lesson from the Bible.
