Yankee Gauntlet Comes to a Close
The New York Yankees have finally finished their 21 game in 20 day gauntlet, as the stretch ended just as it started: with Alex Rodriguez struggling. I really feel that I'd be beating a dead horse if I went on and on about how abysmal A-Rod has been playing, both in the field and at the plate; I'll spare him and you all and just say that the guy hasn't been playing nearly as well as he's capable of. All of this poor play can be easily erased if A-Rod has a successful September and October, much like his great season last year was erased by a poor outing in the postseason.

Baseball Gloves
A baseball glove is a glove made of leather that baseball players wear to help them catch the ball while out on the field. During the late 1800s, players began using the gloves while playing baseball. At first glove usage was not accepted by some players. They slowly gained popularity as more and more players began using gloves.

The Fantasy Report: Coming Down The Stretch
As Fantasy Owners come down the stretch, the players you need to know about are in Paul Greco's Fantasy Report. His Top 25 and Rookie Watch have changed dramatically with injuries popping up all over the place. This weeks Who's Hot or Not features one of New York's own, but was he Hot or Not? -

A-Rod: A Liability at Third Base
In the beginning of the year, when A-Rod was hearing it from the boobirds of Yankee Stadium, I was sticking up for the guy. I told friends, family, people on the internet, and fellow fans to give the guy a break and that he would be getting back on track relatively soon. A-Rod would get back to his old ways of playing great offensively, and playing a damn good third base for the Yankees.

Fantasy Baseball Report: News You Need Now
The BIG news of the week is the Yankees acquisition of OF Bobby Abreu and SP Corey Lidle from the Philadelphia Phillies. I might be the first and only person who thinks Bobby Abreu is a bust, not only in Fantasy, but also on the playing field.

Understanding Trades in the Majors
Understanding the trades in the majors can be one of the most important parts of understanding the game. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as one might would hope.

Baseball And Action - You Wanted Action You Got It
Baseball and action has been the key to fans growing to love the game. Since the game first began in its humble beginning on the playgrounds the players, the fans, and the bystanding crowds have demanded action. The long ball or homerun hitters became king.

Yanks Beat Sox: How Sweep It Is!
The New York Yankees finished up a sweep of the defending World Series Champions, Chicago White Sox, with a 6-4 victory on a Sunday afternoon in the Bronx. Jaret Wright provided 5.1 innings of decent pitching, allowing 3 ER and 8 H, while walking 2 and striking out 1. It certainly wasn’t a performance remotely similar to his outing prior to the All Star break against the Devil Rays, but the Sox are a much better team than Tampa, and Wright has always pitched well against the Devil Rays in his career as a Yankee.

The Many Types of Pitching Machines
One of the best ways to practice your baseball swing and hitting is to use a pitching machine. The idea behind a pitching machine is that it automatically pitches balls at you to hit. These machines come in many different types and sizes and should be chosen to suit your needs.

A Lasting Impression
I know that Milledge has probably been brought up a year or so too early, but I’m really excited as to what the future holds for Milledge and the Mets. The Cameron/Nady trade now looks even better as the Mets dumped a lot of salary, and now have a deep outfield anyway, an area of the Mets that we expected to worsen significantly after the departure of Mike Cameron. I do hope that Willie Randolph decides to start Milledge on a consistent basis, rotating in Nady for Floyd/Milledge from time to time.

Arod: Overpaid or Over Criticized
Nobody seems to take more abuse than Alex Rodriguez, but does he deserve it? Or is it a simple case of jealousy over the money he makes?
