The relationship between those who have been abused and the church itself are not always what Christ would have them to be.

You become what you see. Jesus brought to light immortality through the gospel. The outer church sees only mortality. The teaching of Jesus is about God's gift of immortality to every man-the true self made in the likeness of God, immortal.

The Bible tells us that we need to be led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:12-14, Galatians 5:16-25). Therefore, it is necessary for us to discern the prompting and guidance of the Holy Spirit if we are to live successful lives.

And then we ask ourselves upon what principles are we allotted our looks. What is it that makes us ugly or attractive or “plain?” What is it that gives us a musical ear or an artistic eye; an affectionate disposition or an uncontrollable temper, a talent for mathematics or skills of language?

If we will abide in the Word, the Word will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go (Psalm 32:8). He will also guide us to pray according to His will and our prayers will have a guaranteed effect.

Actually, loving does not take any great effort on our part because it is not something we must put forth great effort to achieve. When God enters our heart, soul, and mind, love is spontaneously produced because He is love.

Symbolism has always been important in man's development. All things are symbols. They are roadsigns or landmarks of where you are in your thinking at any particular time in the physical world. It is a simple thing to see how one is thinking just by looking at the things one gathers around oneself. But symbols can separate you from the source of your power.
