Discipline of Prayer: Always Connected

A daily train ride supplies insight into the nature of prayer: the power is always present if we are willing to stay connected. This awareness of God's omnipresence is the grand thing David celebrates. Jesus reminds us of it as His parting gift before ascending to the Father.

Connect with Spirit

Every time I have the desire to do something, to create something, that’s Spirit seeking expression through me. ANY time we connect with something or someone, we're also connected with Spirit (also known as God, the Universe, Higher Power, the Source). While our personal definition of Spirit is unique, when we connect with that Spirit it immediately connects us with something outside of ourselves.

De-Materialization #2

Don't be afraid of what is possible and please don't hurt those who try and learn - they are usually more interested in helping you than hurting you.

Perception of Freedom

Sometimes we're already free but we don't realize it. We don't believe it or act like it!

Miracles

What is a miracle? What role, if any, do traditional psychotherapies ascribe to the power of the divine to effect healing. Until and unless the role of divine energy can be recognised for its true role in our lives any attempts at healing will fall short of our intentions.

Loving People In Spite Of Them, Not Because Of Them!

Jesus Christ is a great example to follow. Did Jesus die for us and loves us because of who we are? No! He died for us and continues to love us in spite of who we are.

Midnight Songs

In life, sooner or later, we come to the midnight hour. The hour comes when all is black, when myriad shapes seem to haunt our paths, when the very blackness appalls and our hearts cry out in utter despair.

10 Commandments

I thought I would draw this article up as a reference page in the event any of you would ever need, at a quick glance, exactly what the 10 commandments are. I will actually type out the specific Bible verse the 10 commandments comes off of as God makes some additional statements under some of these commandments that is usually not written down when you see little tablets of the 10 commandments at your local Christian bookstore.

Beneficiaries of the Promise

The gospel started with Abraham. That is why Scripture says he was introduced to the gospel in advance. If anyone was ever a religious fanatic it was Abraham. If anyone ever had an excuse to disobey God it was Abraham. God tested him in many ways including asking him to offer his only son of promise on the altar. Because he passed the test, we have the blessings of being in Christ.

When Goliath Comes

One does not have to live long to realize that along the pilgrim’s path are many battles to be fought and enemies to be overcome and we should not be surprised when new trials come our way.

The Slippery Halls of Perspective.

A playful look at perspectives, the impersonal nature of perspectives, and the open space that all perspectives appear within.

Interesting... (but unnecessary)

There is Light at the End of the Tunnel - Just Get Out of Your Way !

Understanding the Gospel of Matthew and Why it Matters - Part 7

A brief study of the humility of Jesus in Matthew 2:19-23

Who Is He?

“What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?” --MATTHEW 22:42, NCV After three years of ministry, hundreds of miles, thousands of miracles, and innumerable teachings, Jesus asks, “Who?” Jesus bids the people to ponder not what He has done, but who He is. It’s the ultimate question of the Christ: Whose Son is He? Is He the Son of God or the sum of our dreams? Is He a figment of our imagination?

What is the purpose of our life? Is it something that we need to find in order to become totally happy? Does the key to our happiness lie in finding the purpose of our life? The following story will reveal to you the rarely spoken true secret of the purpose of life.

Mind, in Time and Space

Understanding humanity's relationship in time and space is crucial in understanding his relationship to that which created him. This awareness leads us to enlightenment and the knowingness that we are part of a process and not separate from it. We are one with all that is, and the process cannot work without us.
