Christians all over the world will all be tempted in different ways. One problem we all will face is being tempted to conform to the world. Daily demands will distract us and only the ones who focus entirely on God will succeed in being different in this world.

How long can we wait? As Christians, we read this and are still looking for God’s action. Even the coming of Jesus didn’t slow down the wickedness we see all around us. And, often times, this wickedness pervades our lives and slows us down. How long, O God?

As we approach the calendar date predicted by the Mayans and other indigenous people as the end of our age, this question is becoming an increasingly burning concern.

“Quantum Physics is the science of gods... Newtonian Physics is the science of the small minds of men.” Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting that you should forget the Newtonian world of three dimensions (3D) and just operate in the quantum soup--not if you want to get any results, that is.

Many people journal their thoughts by writing them down. I do the same thing, but I use a poetry format to journal. The purpose of this article is to share my thoughts and experiences regarding ethics & servant leadership from a Christian perspective. I hope you enjoy this article.

Many times, we are blinded to our own sins. This poem is about a man who will not believe what he sees in the mirror in front of him. It represents our sinful state, and the many times we are unwilling to face our flaws and pursue change.

The world’s idea of justice and freedom fall short of their purpose. Prison bars keep the guilty from repeating their crime while behind them. They cannot change the person. Freedom comes with a price. We have to take responsibility for our actions. We are never free from the tensions of living on the earth. We must pay the price of making a living and existing among people of different temperaments and cultures. Being in Christ is the perfect answer because he has already paid the price for our sins.

The gospel started with Abraham. That is why Scripture says he was introduced to the gospel in advance. If anyone was ever a religious fanatic it was Abraham. If anyone ever had an excuse to disobey God it was Abraham. God tested him in many ways including asking him to offer his only son of promise on the altar. Because he passed the test, we have the blessings of being in Christ.

There must be balance to have both physical and spiritual fitness.

It is no doubt that so many of you are going through deep challenges on many levels of your life.

Have you ever noticed how much our lives resemble a freeway? Once we are on it, we are in constant motion.

When my dad was nearing the end of his life he began searching his heart to see if there was anything left undone - some unconfessed sin, a misdeed, anything at all he needed to make right before he faced God. He constantly prayed that the Holy Spirit would bring to his remembrance anything he needed to make right with his fellowman. It was during this time that he came across a rusty old garden tiller at the edge of his garden. It belonged to a farmer down the road who had sold it to Dad, but, when it didn't work, the farmer returned his money to him and told Dad just to bring it back any time.

A playful look at habitual or unconscious resistance, the forms it takes, and some suggestions on how we might move towards living a life of continuous acceptance.

Life, no matter how we choose to look at it, is a constant battle. It is the beginning of a struggle that continues until we breathe our last breath.

So, none of us arrived with an Owner’s Manual, neatly referenced to enable us to look up our ails, appreciate where we are, and, understand what is next. We expected its indelible validation to enable us to navigate some of the more fearful and exhilarating moments in our lives.

Recently it has come to my attention people are noticing Angels popping up in the strangest places. Several years ago you would only hear about Angels at Christmas time 'Peace on Earth' that kind of thing. Now they are everywhere. In art and music Have you thought about the reasons why?

Make no mistake about it, change is challenging whether it is conscious or unexpected. Viewing adversity as change, not loss or failure, is part of empowered and positive thinking.

Is “free will” limited, in the sense that there are definite tendencies of events in relation to individuals?

When I moved out of London five years ago, one of the things I looked forward to was the change from urban noise to rural peace and quiet. Perhaps like many people, I tend to equate quietness with calm, contentment and time for reflection.
