Do we really think we can just ask God for some great position in life with out any preparation? Not hardly. Psalm 107 tells us that God sometimes brings storms into our lives to accomplish a purpose in us. And that purpose, I believe, is to prepare us for greater things.

So many people put so much faith in another human being by putting them up on a pedestal, and it is very sad. All they are doing is setting themselves up for disappointment...

The human hand is majestic and elegant and the most utilized of all our physical members. If you want to know something about a man’s depth, then watch his hands because every man’s hands tell us something about the man.

Often, in being dishonest about our own faults and failures, we have been far too insensitive and callous toward others who have fallen short.

Spiritual growth is the process of inner awakening, and becoming conscious our inner being. It means the rising of the consciousness beyond the ordinary existence, and awakening to some Universal truths. It means going beyond the mind and the ego and realizing who you really are.

Perhaps it was during a telecast of The 700 Club or during a conversation with a friend. Maybe you were alone with God when it happened. But some-how, someplace deep within, you believed that Jesus of Nazareth, God’s Son, died for your sins and rose from the dead to be your Lord and Savior. Then that belief grew into action, and you called out, “Jesus, I take You as my Savior. I surrender to You. Be the Lord of my life!”

Not to borrow the strength of another, nor to rely on one's own strength; to cut off past and future thoughts, and not to live within the everyday mind... then the Great Way is right before your eyes...

The Bible maakes it plain that we must become mature. We are not to be like the Hebrew Christians who remained at the same place they started. They were instructed to leave the first principles and go on to maturity. The formula for growth is laid out concisely in Second Peter 1:5-7. We must be careful to follow the exact order given. Skipping steps will give us in trouble in a hurry. Spiritual maturity requires all the faith and patience we can muster.
